This is powerful stuff. And taught here in a really engaging way. Clean Language takes clients deep into their experiences quickly and elegantly. Wouldn’t be without it now. What used to look to me like wizardry on James’s part, is now more recognisable and accessible! It’s incredibly inspiring to witness the artistry of Judy and James, who share their expertise so generously throughout this course and beyond. Sincere thanks to them both. And to their students – learning alongside them was almost like being in the classroom.

I came into this course with my hypnosis understandings comfortably in hand. Curious about Clean Language I figured I’d learn some basic techniques that would nuance my work with clients. I came away with an exciting new perspective that has changed my hypnotic worldview. The one major takeaway, which I got within the first two sessions, had to do with my struggles in learning and applying a high-level conversational hypnosis method from another trainer. CL For Hypnotists connected the dots such that I suddenly understood how to bridge a gap in my understanding. “Aha. I can do that!” Big smile and clear skies. Yes! That, alone, was worth the investment of time and money in this course. And there were many, many more. As basic as I believe this is, as an introduction to Clean Language, I have come away with massive value and many avenues of application to put in regular practice. And that practice can be applied in any conversation I have from now on, not just with clients. Highly recommended.

Yes, it’s real, raw and rough at the edges, I feel gloriously so, as the way as James’s and Judy’s differing and complementary styles of engagement with the participants, the response to questions, integrating, freestyling, going “off piste” make for a rich learning experience. If it’s tailored, neat and dandy you want, this isn’t it. However, it’s the next best thing to a live training apart from not being able to contribute/practice with others, and at a fraction of the price. (The slow bits are perfectly tolerable!) I've been somewhat put off Clean Language in the past by encounters with a few expert trainers/practitioners from whom I gained the sense that it is the “be all and end all” of therapeutic questioning, and also by Steve Andreas’s valid criticisms in Six Blind Elephants. I think I threw out the baby with the bathwater! I’m really glad I took up The Bootleg Tapes offer as I am revisiting Clean language with renewed enthusiasm. Applying what I’m learning from the course is enabling me to integrate Clean Language hypnotically into what I already do with a deeper understanding of why, what, when, where and how. I will be revisiting the sessions as there’s definitely more in The Bootleg Tapes than can be absorbed (by me!) in one go. Judy and James are a pleasure to listen to and the participants make great contributions.

An excellent resource for hypnotherapists, old and new. A great introduction to modern hypnosis practice for clean language practitioners as well as for well established hypnotherapists. This includes 2 videos of James doing a demonstration with commentary. Many fascinating insights. Totally recommend it.

I just finished watching the course. What a beautiful experience. I am a hypnotherapist and from the first time I came in contact with Clean Language, I thought of it as a hypnotic process and I was wondering what would be some good ways to implement clean in my hypnosis sessions, apart from the ways I already did. Well, this course has given me a very comprehensive answer and so much more than that. It is packed full of very useful ideas and bigger and smaller pieces of gold of different ways a hypnotherapist can use to achieve better results in the change process. Ideas and professional advice that go deep into details which show the depth of knowledge and experience of the presenters, and which will prove useful to more situations than I could imagine before I attended the course. Details that I am sure will make a big difference in my sessions and presentations. At the same time, the material that James in particular gives out is so condense that I am sure I am going to get even more out of this course each time I watch it. And while all these different techniques and ideas are being taught, the presenters are also careful to tacitly increase the students’ ability to really go out and apply what they learned. The format of the course made me feel as if I were there, among the students, which, for me, was an effective way of being immersed in the material. This course opened up a doorway for me to go out and practice in new ways, and learn, from my clients, myself, and my interactions with people, and it also gave me useful ideas of how to apply even more things that I am going to learn about clean language in the future, in a hypnotic way. Thank you James and Judy for this wonderful course :)

I am really enjoying this course. Judy and James create a really good atmosphere on the group calls, it is well organized with people breaking into smaller groups and practising activities and discussing things, then coming back together again as a larger group. There is structure but also freedom in how the course is organized, so the people who were on the calls had a lot of space to ask questions, shape the direction and format of the course and so on. I think that Judy and James make a wonderful duo as they are both brilliant in their own right, and when they come together they have a good rapport and can provide different styles which I think complement (as well as contrast!) each other really nicely. Their passion and enthusiasm for the subject also shines through, as well as a great sense of humour which is present in the group, which always makes for a better learning experience, and a better experience generally! Each call has a slightly different format, so there is variety. The attendees on the course had useful contributions and participation, and it is great to learn from all of it. I have learned some great stuff, it has made me think, and also smile and laugh a fair amount too! I hope that Judy and James keep making this kind of material together as I think the results are very enjoyable. There's also some stuff on the side like demos from James and Judy which are excellent learning resources too. Overall this is highly recommended!

As a hypnotherapist, Clean Language has been a huge help to me in my work.. This course especially, has helped me incorporate it more fully into my practice, and taken my skills onto another level. I've already noticed massive differences in both my skills, and the outcomes for clients. If you're involved in any type of change-work, this course will help you get much better results. You owe it to yourself... and your clients

I have studied Clean Language in the past and I use it as a big part of my change-work but oh boy, am I impressed with what James and Judy have put together here!! Having James give his insights into Clean Language and how it fits in with his approach to change-work was extremely valuable but then seeing him actually weaving Clean Language tools and questions into his hypnotic change-work in the demos really is the difference that makes the difference for me. I'm only 3 sessions into the course and I'm feeling so inspired I just had to share this review! What *kind* of inspired? (you might ask, having watched the first video) Well, I'm convinced this collection of videos and resources is going to have a profound impact upon my coaching and change-work and I will be returning to the course again and again. Highly recommended!

The tapes give an excellent introduction to clean language, and have a really nice mix of perspectives. Hypnotists, hypnotherapist and those that are purely clean language create a really interesting forum for ideas to bounce off each other. I have found this extremely useful, thank you!

A treasure trove of great material.

I’d heard of Clean Language before, but didn’t have any real idea of what it was, so I took this class. I had a lot of trouble trying to glean what was going on in spite of the fact that I’ve been a hypnotist for about five years and currently taking NLP classes. The more I watched, the more I felt like I was missing something basic. I can't say overall the participants were much more prepared than I was. They acted like a class who hadn’t done their homework and were trying to fake it with their teacher. Finally I bought and read the first couple of chapters of Judy's book on Clean Language and the light bulb went on. I get it now. I don’t think this course is too advanced, but I do think some basic explanations at the very beginning would have helped prepare me to understand what CL was all about. So if you don’t know what CL is, you'd be wise to at least get some idea before taking this class. I wouldn’t say that the pace of the class was fast. I’m going to have to listen to it again now that I have a better idea of what CL is. I’m sure I missed a great deal in the beginning. James is always a great resource for a variety of methods of change workers and Judy appears to be no less skillful in CL.
